Disney World Vacation

Disney World Vacation

Disney World is a magical place and a great vacation destination for an active family.

Since my wife is an elementary school teacher and Cameron is in Kindergarten we took advantage of their winter break and took a vacation to Disney World!

We left our home in North Georgia at 4:00 AM on Wednesday morning. We loaded the boys in the Expedition while they were asleep and hit the road. The drive down wasn’t bad at all and we made great time. We only stopped twice… Once for breakfast and another quick bathroom break. After 8 hrs in the SUV, we arrived at Disney World to check into our Disney World resort hotel. The weather was perfect at a sunny 85 degrees so we did not waste time in the hotel. We immediately left out for a park.

 Our Disney Vacation

  • Day 1 – Arrive at Disney World and then Epcot for the afternoon
  • Day 2 – Magic Kingdom
  • Day 3 – Animal Kingdom and Swimming
  • Day 4 – Magic Kingdom
  • Day 5 – Character Breakfast and then the long drive home

The boys absolutely loved it! We covered a lot of ground and rode a lot of rides but to be honest they enjoyed their pool time as much as anything else that Disney had to offer. We enjoyed several sit down meals and most of those meals were with the Disney Characters. They both really enjoyed the character meals.

They experienced a wide range of emotions that went from being excited, being overwhelmed, and absolutely exhausted. Walt Disney World is obviously not our typical way to enjoy being outdoors with kids but it was a blast for sure. Below is a gallery of images from our vacation.
